There were four of us and, we were coming in from Zurich. We were going to be late for dinner, thank god (goodness) DF (that is you guys) let our hosts know we were going to be late. Upon arrival at La Cassini (photo attached) our gracious hosts - Dirk and Rob - checked us in. Then it was on to a cool Draft at the in house pub followed by a wonderful dinner with lots of Frommage de Pays and Vin de Pays. On Day 1 we organized our bikes. 3 of us had DF Rental Bikes - myself, Deb and Suzanne - while Russ brought his own bike. With the provided itinerary Russ and I decided to do a warm-up ride then climb Les Deux Alpes. Deb and Suzanne hiked around the beautiful nearby lake. When we returned to the Hotel and showered, it was down to the in house pub and dining room for more of the great food and wine. On Day 2, we all tackled Alpe d'Huez. Russ and I were successful, Deb and Suzanne less so. (2 pictures included, note the rental bike for me). Then, it was back to the hotel for more wining and dining. On our final day, Russ and I decided we would do the Col de Lautaret and Col de Galibier. What a wonderful challenge and accomplishment for both of us! (picture attached). Of course we finished the day wining and dining at La Cassini. The next day we were off to Bedoin for an assault on Mt. Ventoux!
