A letter from Andrea Jakobsson in Brazil

Dear Jean-Marc and Willy,

I am most thankful to the services you provided during our trip to Belgium.

I must confess that when I booked the tour I was only thinking of the proximity to Lille, which would be my basis while in France.
I was positively surprised by a country rich in historical sites entirely acessible by bike. Where else do you find miles and miles of car free roads among quiet farms ending up in cities just popped out of fairy tales?

My son, Daniel, and I cannot be thankful enough to the attention given to us by Willy, who took his time to explain the network of bike roads in a way that made us completely sure of what we were doing. He is the nicest person ever!

We loved the hotels, the itineraries, the magnificent beer, the wonderful chocolate. It was all crowned by the Eddie Merckx route, which kind of makes us think of going back for a better look at the Flemish Ardennes on another occasion!

My personal difficulty was the cold. We could have biked much more in slightly warmer weather, though we were lucky enough to have 5 sun-shiny days among snow and rain. Since temperatures were around 5o C, we couldn't start early or finish late, and we also wanted to visit all villages on the way. So we decided to cut the longest stretch and take a train in Gent, which was absolutely worth a visit. We also wished we had more time in Oudernaarde, but well, it had to end one day...

We had an unforgettable time and are sure that this will be the first of many bike tours with you.
